Yes, Price Drop Catch is completely free with no premium tiers, subscriptions, or hidden costs. All features are available to every user — no upselling, ever.
The extension stores your watchlist locally by default; its account is optional. iPhone and web tracking require sign-in and store your watchlist on our servers. Price Drop Catch also contributes anonymous price snapshots (product URL, price, timestamp — no personal info) to community price history at pricedropcatch.com/p/. This is always on; you can permanently erase anything you've contributed anytime via Data → erase my data in settings. Signed-in features use your email, account watchlist and, when registered for iPhone notifications, a device push token. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Only for the extension’s local background checks. iPhone and web tracking use server-side checks, so you can close the app and browser. Allow notifications on iPhone to receive push alerts.
Yes. There is also a native iPhone app on the App Store. Price Drop Catch has official downloads for Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari on macOS. Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, and other Chromium browsers can use the Chrome Web Store version.
The extension’s local check interval defaults to 60 minutes and is adjustable in settings. Products added on iPhone or the web are scheduled for daily server-side checks; timing may vary with store availability and the collection queue.
The browser extension has built-in export and import functionality. You can export your tracked products as a JSON file and import them on another device or browser — great for backups or switching computers.
